Roadbooker Privacy Policy

Roadbooker (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a platform for users to create, discover, download, and navigate route stages. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how it is stored.

By using Roadbooker, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Account Information
When you register or sign in, we process and store:

• Email address
• Firebase Authentication user ID (UID)
• Account timestamps (e.g., created/updated times)

b) Subscription / Entitlement Information
For Roadbooker Pro access management, we store entitlement records such as:

• Active/expired status
• Product/purchase reference fields (where applicable)
• Entitlement timestamps and source metadata

c) Route and Stage Content
When users create or edit stages, we store data such as:

• Stage name, author, owner ID
• Start and finish coordinates
• Waypoints and waypoint coordinates
• Waypoint names/instructions and tulip references
• Distance and route metadata
• Visibility setting (public/private)
• Version and created/updated timestamps

d) Ratings and Route Reports
When submitted in-app, we may store:

• Stage rating values (for aggregated scoring)
• Route report message text
• Stage reference info
• Reporter UID/email (if signed in)
• Report timestamp

e) Device-Local Data (stored on your device)
Roadbooker stores certain data locally to support navigation and offline usage, including:

• Downloaded route files (JSON)
• Cached route files (temporary cloud navigation files)
• Selected route references and navigation state keys
• Certain in-app preference/state values

2. Location Data

Roadbooker requests location access to:

• Show your current map position
• Support stage navigation and waypoint progress
• Drive route guidance features

Location is processed during navigation. Location points are stored permanently when you intentionally save/publish route content containing coordinates (e.g., waypoints, start/finish points).

3. How We Use Your Data

We use data to:

• Create and manage your account
• Let you create, edit, publish, and navigate stages
• Provide offline route download and route loading
• Enforce/enable Pro entitlement features
• Improve route quality via ratings/reports
• Maintain service operation, reliability, and security

4. Where Data Is Stored

Roadbooker uses Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Some route and app-state data is stored on your device using local app storage/filesystem.

5. Sharing of Data

We do not sell your personal data.

Data may be shared only as needed to operate the service, including:

• Firebase/Google cloud infrastructure providers
• Legal/compliance requirements where required by law

Public stages are visible to other users by design. Private stages are intended to remain restricted per app behavior and access rules.

6. Data Retention

We retain data as long as needed for service functionality, account operation, and security/legal/operational purposes.

If you request account deletion, we will process deletion requests subject to legal, backup, and operational limitations. Some data may persist temporarily in backups/logs.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. However, no internet-based system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

Roadbooker is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum legal age in your region). If we learn data has been collected from a child unlawfully, we will take steps to delete it.

9. Your Choices

• Update or delete route content you control (subject to platform rules)
• Request account-related assistance/deletion
• Disable location permissions (note: this may limit navigation features)

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted with a revised effective date.
